The Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) will hold its annual fair on Friday and Saturday, January 30 to 31, with the theme “Siklo: When Light Returns,” featuring a lineup of music performances, competitions, and interactive activities aimed at bringing the community together and raising funds for ASHS Scholars.

Siklo, the Filipino word for “cycle,” draws inspiration from the myth of the Bakunawa and highlights the recurring struggles between light and darkness, hope and despair, and integrity and corruption.

This year’s fair aims to emphasize the values of unity and resilience, encouraging the community to work together in facing challenges while celebrating the return of light even in difficult times.

The event is set to officially begin on Friday, January 30, with an opening program from 9:20 a.m. to 10 a.m., after which students will have time to roam around the fairgrounds and watch the Battle of the Bands in the afternoon before the Students’ Night begins from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Participating groups in competition include Turnout, Rubberbands, Deep Sea Pizza, Her Lilies, Mad About Madeline, Sticker Happy, Entropy, Ignacia, JIVE, and Smijetz.

Student’s Night will include performances from local and school-based artists, including Taylor Sheesh, VPeepz, Southridge Dance Crew, Indayog ng Atenistang Kabataang (IndAK), the ASHS Performing Arts District (PAD), and DJ Rynzy.

A highlight of the Students Night is Marahuyo, the pageant segment of the fair where participants — open to both juniors and seniors — represent one ASHS Council of Student Committees (CSC) advocacy by showcasing their style and talent.

The following day, January 31, the fair will proceed with the Fundraising Concert, running from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

The concert lineup features Apo Hiking Society, Over October, Janine, The Ridleys, Hey June!, The Vowels They Orbit, and Loafers, with the proceeds going directly to support the ASHS scholars.

Throughout both days, fairgoers will have the opportunity to use rides, located on the left side of the Red Brick Road facing the Main Building, including the Octopus, Vikings, and Lantern Wheel.

Along with this, various booths and games, prepared by ASHS organizations, sports clubs, and committees (OSCC) can be found in the Main Building.

Additionally, fairgoers can pay a visit to the Salu-Salo Market, located on the first floor of the Main Building, which will feature a variety of food stalls, accessories, jewelry, clothing, and novelty items from local brands.

Siklo will run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on both days, while the mini events will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the first day and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second day, and the rides operate all throughout the day.
