Sa pagdiriwang natin ng ika-127 taon mula nang makamit ang ating kalayaan, mahalagang huminto at pagnilayan ang ating pag-unlad bilang isang bansa, gayundin ang mga hamon na humahadlang sa ating kalayaan — lalo na sa kasalukuyang panahon. Sa kabila ng ating itinatag na kalayaan, tayo ay bilanggo pa rin ng ating nakaraan habang patuloy tayong nalilito sa ating sariling pagkakakilanlan at kultura. Tunay nga bang tayo ay isang malayang bansa o kaduda-duda pa rin ito, sanhi ng impluwensya mula sa ibang bansa pati na rin ang kaisipan ng mga Pilipino?

As we dedicate the most hard-hitting verses and bridges to those who have impacted our lives all the more so, we recognize the teachers who have offered their energy to mold us into better versions of ourselves. It’s time to rewind to fulfilling days in the classroom, replay our favorite songs of love and friendship, and reminisce about the formators who have made our school days just a bit more special.

11,103: Diary Entries Written in Blood

After a fact-filled week of commemorating the memory of martial law, we look back at the ACO and CSC project: Dinig Kita: 11,103 screening. The film is a mix of Martial Law survivors that have experienced the extremities of this era in Philippine history, and a documentary of the 2022 Presidential Elections. This screening was an opportunity for the ASHS community to educate themselves and never forget why such extents of corruption must never again happen.
