TAHANAN: Scholars Welcoming Party at Parent’s Day sabay na idinaos ng ASHS

Noong Sabado, Agosto 24, ginanap ang “Tahanan” isang welcoming party para sa mga iskolar ng ika-11 baitang na pinamunuan ng Samahan ng mga Iskolar na Naglilingkod at Gumagabay (SINAG) sa Blackbox Theatre sa unang palapag ng Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) main building. Kasabay nito ang Parent’s Day, kung saan nagkaroon ng pagtitipon ang mga magulang at mga guro upang pag-usapan ang mga magaganap sa bagong taong panunuran.

ASHS nagtipon para sa Misa ng Banal na Espiritu

Noong Biyernes, Agosto 16, nagtipon ang buong komunidad ng Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) sa ikatlong palapag ng Formation Learning Center (FLC) upang ipagdiwang ang Misa ng Espiritu Santo at salubungin ang bagong taong panunuran na may gabay ng Banal na Espiritu.

ASHS students participate in ASHS GXP 2024

During the month of June, the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) students participated in the ASHS Global Experience (GXP) program, which aimed to expose students to other cultures, deepen their love for their country, share Filipino culture through meaningful interaction, develop life skills, and share and apply the fruits of the program.

Umpire for Truth: Shedding Light on the Unsung Players

The ASHS community is home to a plethora of sports—ranging from classics such as basketball and volleyball, as well as providing a haven for niche communities to thrive, such as the likes of archery, frisbee, and golf. STEM students participate in research congress in Malaysia

Selected Ateneo Senior High School grade 11 students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand took part in the 13th Regional Congress Search for SEAMEO Young Scientists with the theme “Youth for One Health through STEM Innovations” on SEAMEO RECSAM, Penang, Malaysia, from June 10 to 14.

The Broadway Theatre Troupe of Ateneo (BTTA) exemplified true theater magic through an immersive rendition of Once on This Island. Through excellent production and strong vocals, the troupe’s performance is a show of all the hard work and dedication of each individual member. As the last few shows have come to a close, BTTA has showcased their heart and soul in this rollercoaster-like story filled with high ups and heavy downs.

Pinwheels Through Whirlwinds: The Trials of the ASHS Fair

Last February 9 & 10, the ASHS opened its doors to the public and held its first ever fair since the pandemic. This year’s fair, entitled “Elesina,”  was not only a fundraising event for all crowds to enjoy, but was also a symbol of perseverance, service, and cooperation between the students and the entire ASHS Community. However, despite its undoubtable triumphs, there were also trials and lapses that became apparent during the overall fair itself.

With the passing of the jeepney consolidation deadline on April 30, 2024, ultimately solidifying the PUV (Public Utility Vehicle) modernization program, it is imperative that we critically evaluate the current state of the country’s public transportation system, particularly for jeepney drivers and commuters, in order to discern who will truly bear the burden of the strain this program will bring.
