SUBJECT TEACHERS: Teachers are often seen as the reflection of what they teach. Math teachers like math jokes, English teachers read classics, or maybe History teachers read only strictly about the past. In between these pages, however, is the truth that books aren’t reserved for only a set of people, and their use isn’t to sort and divide them. Rather, it brings the knowledge of people together and breaks barriers of what is expected. As National Book Week ends, revisit old and new books and get a peek at what teachers would recommend outside their subjects.

As January marks the beginning of National Book Week, the ASHS community is deeply encouraged to immerse themselves in the worlds that exist between the pages. As the story of our high school lives slowly comes to a close, there is still much to be learnt from the words that go beyond mere tests or homework assignments.
