Most athletes long to show their country’s colors over international waters at the renowned event that only happens every four years: The Olympics. This year, the country made history by putting forward 22 individuals to represent the Philippines with heart and pride; with each athlete carrying different stories and having undergone various obstacles to get where they are today. In the end however, they are all united under one flag. It’s time to give our athletes their props, and take a look at each of their journeys to fulfil the Olympic dream.

The ASHS community is home to a plethora of sports—ranging from classics such as basketball and volleyball, as well as providing a haven for niche communities to thrive, such as the likes of archery, frisbee, and golf.
