The Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) opened its Grade 11 orientation program, under the theme ”Tuklas,” on Wednesday, July 15, for the incoming Batch 2028 students. 

The day began with moderator introductions and ice-breaker activities, allowing students to meet their classmates and moderators before student volunteers introduced the Ignatian values practiced in the ASHS community.

After the morning session, students from Borja, Brebeuf, Gavan, Goupil, Grande, Hoyos, Moscoso, Nakaura, Realino, San Vitores, Torres, and Tsuji attended the Classroom Modules, where they were oriented on school policies, student services, and other aspects of senior high school life.

Meanwhile, students from the remaining sections took part in a Mini Involvement Fair (MIF) held simultaneously on the first and second floors of the Formation and Learning Center (FLC), allowing incoming students to explore organizations and extracurricular activities available for the incoming school year.

The MIF concluded ahead of schedule, allowing students to return to their respective classrooms and bond with their student volunteers.

Incoming Grade 11 student Arkin Del Mundo from the Physical Science pathway said he initially expected the organizations in SHS to be similar to those in junior high school and looked forward to new experiences and learning opportunities.

The orientation will continue on the second day, July 16, with morning sessions on the 5Cs and Ignatian Circle activities within the class, after which sections assigned to the Classroom Modules on the first day of the MIF will attend, while those who previously participated in the MIF will attend the Classroom Modules.
