The Karilyo Shadow Play in collaboration with the internationally praised Coro San Benildo commemorates the 48th Anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law through a shadowplay.

Awit ng Hinirang is a shadowplay that portrays the various faces and voices of heroism, beauty of traditional Filipino love songs, and the ideal image of a hero in different events, times, and perspectives. 

The song used in the shadowplay is also entitled Awit ng Hinirang, it is an original kundiman conceptualized by Coro San Benildo Trainer, Anino Shadowplay Collective Member, and contemporary artist Teta Tulay, and arranged by Coro San Benildo Trainer and Conductor Lorenz Geoalogo.

The performance used shadowplay, stop-motion and digital animation, and live-action footage as different mediums to deliver their message.
