Pampanga Flood Exceeds Head Level

November 15, 2020 (12:00am)— Citizens in the province of Pampanga are approaching a state of emergency as water levels of the Pampanga River Basin continue to rise.

Run-offs from Sierra Madre, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija are headed towards the province of Pampanga.

Latest updates on the water level were given earlier today, November 15 at 5:30 am. The water level is as follows:

  • Arayat – 8.22m (ABOVE CRITICAL)
  • Candaba – 6.22m (ABOVE CRITICAL)
  • Sulipan Apalit – 3.98 m (ABOVE CRITICAL)
  • Sapang Buho Nueva Ecija – 2.21 m (ABOVE ALARM)
  • Zaragoza Nueva Ecija – 3.66 m (ABOVE ALERT)

Updates said that as of 12:00 am today, November 15, the flood in Candaba has reached 10 feet, while the municipality of San Luis has been submerged in floodwaters that have reached head level. 

As of 1:54 am, Typhoon ‘Ulysses’ has left the municipalities of Apalit and San Simon in Pampanga as well as the area of Calumpit in Bulacan submerged in floodwater.
