Solidarity Fund and Blue Aid to provide financial assistance to Ateneo employees

Fr. Robert Yap SJ announced the launch of the Solidarity Fund and Blue Aid Pandemic Assistance during the third Town Hall Meeting of the University held on May 31, 2021 at 10:00 AM.

Solidarity Fund is a new program that aims to provide a venue for employees who wish to assist their co-employees by donating to the fund.  

The beneficiaries of the Solidarity Fund include members and non-members of the University Health Care Plan, all full-time employees, part-time employees, and their family members.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLIDARITY FUND
For members of the Health Care PlanFor non-members of the Health Care Plan
You may use the maximum benefit limit (MBL) of PHP 100,000 inclusive of cost of tests, PPEs and management of patient care

Actual cost of swab testing for symptomatic member will be covered given an endorsement from attending physician

Financial assistance will be given if the MBL is exceeded

One time swab-testing for symptomatic employee with cost up to PHP 3,000 given physician’s order

One time confinement of family member due to COVID-19
For employees:
– One time swab-testing for symptomatic employee with cost up to PHP 3,000 given physician’s order
– One time confinement of employee due to COVID-19

For family members
– One time swab testing for max of two symptomatic family member with cost up to PHP 3,000 per family member given physician’s orders
– One time confinement of family member due to COVID-19

To apply for the Solidarity Fund, accomplish the following steps:

  1. Submit a letter of request together with an official receipt to the Office of Human Resource Management and Organization Development (OHRMOD) using official @atene.edu email
  2. Submission will undergo evaluation and approval from OHRMOD
  3. Release of assistance through direct credit to employee’s payroll account

Another program discussed is the Blue Aid Assistance Program, which serves as gratitude for keeping the university operations steady.

All full-time employees as well as part-time employees of six years and above will receive 40,000 pesos. 

Part-time employees will receive around PHP 10,000 to 25,000 depending on their units of work.

“You have been our most important asset and resource as we navigate this very challenging world of this pandemic” Fr. Bobby expressed his gratitude to the employees.

He also mentioned that the program is a token of appreciation from the Board of Trustees, the Jesuits and the University President.
