Following this, a new system called the “Strand Ambassador System” has been implemented by the ASHS ComElec for this year’s SVC Elections.
The said system was created to ensure that all candidates will have equal media exposure and ensure the election does not turn into a competition to garner supporters. It is also a means for the ComElec to efficiently monitor, evaluate, and organize the activities of the candidates and voters.
Here are the guidelines for the ambassador system:
- One group chat for each strand composed of the candidates from the respective strand and the ComElec En Banc will be made by the ComElec;
- Candidates can add ambassadors as soon as they are added;
- Candidates are not allowed to create a separate ambassador group chat
Students from any strand may partake in any strand ambassador group chat given that they are not a part of the Sanggunian Core, the ASHS ComElec, or a faculty, teacher, and admin of ASHS.
