With 159 out of the 173 certificates of canvass (COCs) counted, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)’s partial and official count for the senatorial race show a clear “Magic 12”.
As of 4:30 P.M., the following bets are expected to become senators come proclamation day:

- Loren Legarda
- Raffy Tulfo
- Win Gatchalian
- Chiz Escudero
- Mark Villar
- Alan Peter Cayetano
- Migz Zubiri
- Joel Villanueva
- JV Ejercito
- Risa Hontiveros
- Jinggoy Estrada
Party-list ACT-CIS once again topped the elections.
The COMELEC is expected to proclaim senatorial and party-list winners by Wednesday, May 18, 2022 as per COMELEC Commissioner Garcia.
In other news, presumptive vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio earlier said that she is “ready to rumble” and is “excited” for her job as the 15th vice president of the Philippines and Department of Education secretary.
With Senate President Tito Sotto preparing to leave the senate, it has also been reported that either presumptive senator Loren Legarda and Senator Cynthia Villar may succeed Sotto.
NBOC suspended its session at around 5 P.M. today, and is expected to resume tomorrow at three in the afternoon as it is waiting for two electronic COCs and 12 manually prepared COCs.
