As the third day of the Southeast Asian Games approaches its end, the country continues to collect podium finishes across multiple sports.

Last night, the Philippines bagged three additional bronze medals—the athletics team in the mixed relay 4×400 race, Miranda Renner in the women’s 100 meter freestyle competition in swimming, and the men’s 3×3 basketball team after winning against Indonesia, 14-10.
Multiple Medalists Shine Bright
Today saw the continued victory of the Philippine squad as its athletes added several medals to the country’s already decorated collection. Most of today’s winners have already grabbed titles in different categories of their respective sports.
In wushu, taijiquan silver medalist Agatha Wong followed yesterday’s victory with a gold, this time in the women’s taolu taijijian division. Fellow wushu athlete Arnel Roa won gold, too.
Kim Mangrobang, who had already earned a gold in the women’s individual triathlon contest, claimed the top spot again, this time in women’s individual duathlon.
Men’s artistic all-around champion Carlos Yulo also dominated both the men’s artistic floor and men’s artistic rings tournaments. Yesterday’s final silver medal winner Aleah Finnegan also nabbed gold, this time in the women’s artistic vault.
William Morrison III of the athletics team also successfully defended his men’s shot put title, while Janry Ubas of the men’s long jump got a silver medal.
Nathaniel Perez of the fencing team and Jollirine Co of jiu jitsu both earned silver medals.
Meanwhile, Divine Wally, Gideon Padua, Francisco Solis, and Clemente Tabugara of wushu, Alvin Campos of pencak silat, Naomi Gardoce and John Derick Farr of the cycling squad, Jan Vincent Ferrer and Marc Alexander Lim of jiu jitsu, Sonny Montenegro and Joida Gagnao of the athletics team, and both the women’s and men’s tennis squads all handed the Philippines bronze medals each.
Despite placing second at around 2 P.M., the country still ranks third in the overall medal count behind Vietnam and Thailand.
