Robredo to reopen Bayanihan e-Konsulta amidst increase in COVID-19 cases

In response to the country’s increasing COVID-19 cases, Former Vice President Leni Robredo plans to reopen Bayanihan e-Konsulta, the free telecommunication service she established during her term, through the non-government organization Angat Buhay.

Dahil sa pagdami na naman ng Covid cases dito sa atin, magbubukas pong muli ang Bayanihan e-Konsulta,” Robredo wrote in a post on her official Facebook page.

Robredo stated that they need 50 non-medical volunteers and 40 medical volunteers for this initiative. She added that the numbers can alter and increase depending on the volume of requests they might encounter.

Volunteers are reminded that the job setup is still work-from-home in the meantime; thus, they must own a computer or laptop, a smartphone, and have sufficient Internet connection.

About 20 minutes after the announcement, Robredo tweeted that over 1,000 volunteers have already signed up for the comeback of the said program.

“The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well,” she penned in her tweet.

In 2021, this initiative was introduced to the public for the first time under Robredo’s incumbency in the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

However, this ceased operations on May 31, 2022, as the OVP welcomed the new leadership of Vice President Sara Duterte.
