A year-end program catering to the whole ASHS community under the theme “Takipsilim: Pagtungo sa Kinabukasan” took place on Friday after the morning Thanksgiving Mass to formally close another academic year.

Classes had their last “salu-salo” lunch together in their respective classrooms with their moderators before going back to the third floor of the Formation and Learning Center (FLC) for the main program.

The culminating activity began with opening remarks led by the Assistant Principal for Administration, Ms. Maria Cecilia Dela Cruz-Lacson.

Various performances from the students included the participation of the Ateneo Symphonic Ensemble, Indayog ng Atenistang Kabataan, Dulaang Sibol, Broadway Theatre Troupe of Ateneo, Glee Club, Flushed, and Midday Wednesday.

The hidden talents of the teachers were also showcased as the faculty had a band performance and a dance number.

To burn the stage even further, a battle of the bands commenced in the middle of the event. The bands “Pencils for Armor”, “Scorchspot”, and “Kahit Ano” joined in the competition, with “Kahit Ano” being crowned as the overall champion.

Afterwards, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the significant people who took part in the program, which consisted of the judges of the battle of the bands as well as the mass presider, Fr. Bong Dahunan.

“Takipsilim” was then closed by the ASHS Principal, Mr. Noel P. Miranda, along with the final blessing for the grade 12 and grade 11 students.

For the last time, graduating members from the Ateneo Music Industry Organization performed the school year’s theme song, “Dasig”, followed by the singing of the school hymn, “A Song for Mary”.

Amidst all of these events, booths and exhibits prepared by the subject areas, Council of Student Organization districts, and different shops were also made available for the students on the second floor of the FLC Building.
