The student ambassadors of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) welcomed some juniors and their parents on Monday, June 26, 2023, after the Family Orientation Conference.

Two student ambassadors, Daniel Allones and Sachi Ingles, toured the seven families around the campus, orienting them on what is expected for the upcoming school year.

With the tour beginning in the Formation Learning Center, the families were able to explore the facilities of the ASHS while the ambassadors shared their experiences regarding the culture in the school.

In the middle of the visit, the families shortly met the Principal, Mr. Noel Miranda, and some Senior High Orientation Seminar (SHOrSem) Core members. All of them greeted and gave a warm welcome to the incoming juniors.

The walkabout allowed not only the students but also the parents to ask questions about the systems involved in the ASHS. These were cordially answered by the student ambassadors, who also gave various tips and pieces of advice on how to survive the school year.

“Super excited na po ako for the upcoming school year kasi ‘yung tour po namin hindi lang siya nag-co-compose noong mga buildings, pati po yung mismong mangyayari sa next school year. Super nakaka-excite po kasi ang dami po nilang nabanggit,” one of the juniors said.

Additionally, the two student ambassadors expressed their fulfillment from being able to support the juniors through sharing their experiences as part of the ASHS community.

“It’s very fulfilling to tour the new students in the ASHS . . . You get to share your experiences as well and what are the positive experiences. It’s really fun to tell them your experiences tapos na-e-excite sila gano’n,” Daniel Allones cited.

“You get to meet a lot of people, and you get a lot of perspectives . . . It’s nice to encourage them about their new school,” Sachi Ingles added.
