On Friday, February 10, 2024, the final day of Elesina was launched with new mini events provided for the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) community and other fairgoers, namely, “Tataya: Bingo” as well as a concert entitled “Mahika.”

On top of these activities, the rides, booths, and concessionaires present during day one of Elesina were still made available to the community.

“Soakfest: Splash for a Cause” also continued for its second batch of nominees at the ASHS main building sundial courtyard.

Moreover, a new set of bands performed in  “Bluelapalooza,” spearheaded by the ASHS Music Industry Organization.

Tataya: Bingo

“Tataya: Bingo” was conducted at the ASHS Formation Learning Center Cafeteria, with 10 playing rounds offering various prices—such as cash, appliances, gift certificates, and products from sponsors.

The bingo game was facilitated by the Assembly of Class Officers. Each bingo ticket cost PHP 50, and could also be purchased in the middle of the rounds.

“We only bought five tickets each, but I saw a lot of people have more than five, so nakakatakot pero we’re really excited because we saw the ninth prize [Sony Headphones]…That’s what we’re aiming for,” two students from the Unviersity of Asia and the Pacific stated.

“There is no skill needed, just based on luck, so anyone can win in the bingo,” they added.

Some parents have also acknowledged the entertainment brought about by the fair, inviting other fairgoers to enjoy the rest of the day.

“We just want [fairgoers] to enjoy, kung ano man ‘yung fruits of labor ng fair core, especially we would like to congratulate [them] dahil so far masaya yung fair at least na-enjoy namin maski hindi na sa age bracket namin yung entertainment nila,” said Mr. and Mrs. Porca as they played during the bingo.

The bingo was open to all fair attendees, including parents, outsiders, and other individuals who availed bingo tickets.

“Mahika”

As the sun started to set, the crowd slowly grew, anticipating the awaited “Mahika” concert consisting of different performances from Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists.

The lineup included local artists, such as Nameless Kids, HEY JUNE!, PLAYERTWO, ONE CLICK STRAIGHT, Maki, Arthur Miguel, The Ridleys, and Lola Amour.

“The process of [Mahika] is very structured…Although the line was very hassle, it’s not that bad naman…I understand that there has been a lot of people who really worked hard for this event and I am just grateful to be here,” students from 11-Bellarmino said before the concert started.

“The fair has been really fun…It’s very diverse because there are so many things to choose from. It’s also fun seeing everyone, not just our classmates but also our friends from other schools, get together in this special event,” they added, expressing their overall thoughts regarding Elesina.

The last night of Elesina officially ended with the ASHS community and other fairgoers dancing and singing along to Lola Amour’s remarkable performance of their hit song “Raining in Manila.”
