The red string has brought us to a thing— rather a fair we call Tadhana.
Any fair isn’t complete without entertainment to make the fairgoers’ time more than worth it, and this year’s student’s night and fundraising concert is decked out with incredible talent. School fairs are where core memories happen, and these performers are bound to make a lasting impact on everyone’s Seraya experience.
TGIF: The Stars in the Student’s Night Sky
Starting off Friday night right is ASHS’ premier dance troupe, IndAK– the kings fresh off a win at the 2025 Dance Supremacy competition, and the queens just as fired up to showcase more of their talented arsenal. Every IndAK performance is nothing short of a showstopper; bound to set the bar for the rest of the night.
Yet, in the spirit of magis, us Ateneans never fail to go all out in conceptualizing a performance that will be both magical and impactful. In collaboration with Lakambini is the variety show that lit last year’s fair on fire, Eksaherada— a show that will feature a runway segment, Q&A portion, and a lip sync performance, all in the name of spreading love and advocating for safe spaces for everyone no matter their identity.
Similar to last year’s Eksaherada, student models will be prancing the runway in their fashioned outfits. However this time, they will be joined by teacher models voted by the students. But wait! The fun is far from over, as the show will be graced by the presence of Drag Race Philippines alumnus, Your Tita Baby for a special drag performance to exemplify the art of queer culture.
But of course, the ASHS’ student’s night has always been an invitation for other schools to share their star quality with fun-loving fairgoers. The first visiting dance troupe is the Antipolo Assumption Dance Crew, a fiery group crowned champions of the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Asia 2024 in the Varsity Division. Meanwhile, the second invited dance troupe, SPCP Terpsichore Street took home second place at the 2025 Dance Supremacy queens division.
Finally, to end a high-energy night are DJ Marxx and DJ Martie who will top off student’s night with flashing lights and trendy remixes— letting the students take a small breather from the heavy week that preceded the fair.
The Saturday Spotlight: A Concert for Charity
No ASHS fair is complete without the iconic fundraising concert, adorned with star-studded performances from some of the most legendary names in the music industry. One of the headliners of Seraya is renowned Filipino rock band, The Itchyworms – here to grace the event with their witty hits and classic tunes. Joining them are contemporary music standouts The Ridleys and Zild, ready to serenade fairgoers with deep, touching lyrics that put the spotlight on love, and truly bring out the kilig. The event also features hit band Mayonnaise, who are sure to get fairgoers on their feet and grooving to their unique, alternative rock sound.
Of course, the heart-pumping moments and hazy blurs from singing your heart out needs to be balanced out by Unique Salonga’s slow melodies, who stars as one of the performers for Seraya. And while, of course, it’s important to calm down every once in a while, PLAYERTWO is here to ensure that the hype stays up — noted as “Hip-Hop’s DIY kids,” their catchy tunes and well-composed beats are sure to shoot energy through the walls of the senior high school grounds.
Of course, while they may not be as established, up-and-coming THATBANDASTRA will also show up, electrifying the audience with their rock covers and unique personality.
Endless weeks of preparation all culminate into two days of exhilaration, new experiences, and the same, old ASHS. Tadhana, the ASHS fair will be open from February 21 until 22, complete with concessionaires, booths, rides, and of course, its concert featuring some of the best talents ever produced by the country. It is also most important to note that the fair is in support of the scholars of Ateneo, and purchases and support that goes towards the fair ultimately end with the support and sponsorship of scholars. So while Seraya is a chance to experience a unique sense of joy from music, it is also a chance for a dreamer to study in Ateneo.
And who knows, you might just meet your Tadhana here.
