On Saturday, February 22, at the Formation and Learning Center (FLC) field, the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) Fair 2025 “Tadhana” concluded with a fundraising concert “Seraya,” featuring various Filipino artists and bands.
Aside from the concert, rides, booths, and concessionaires from “Tadhana,” day one were also present on the last day.
Moreover, the Humanities and Social Sciences (HumSS) and General Academic (GA) strands, and the Council of Student Committees (CSC) continued the second batch of teachers and student leaders for “Soakfest 2025.”
“It’s an opportunity rin for teachers to participate in fundraising events,” Sir Nikko Ramos, a Soakfest 2025 participant, expressed.
Besides this, Mini Events Head Sophie Reyes said that it had taken a lot to organize the fair, given that they had to coordinate with people from different Organizations, Sports Clubs, and Committees (OSCCs) to man the booths and arrange Bluelapalooza.
“We really had to coordinate with a lot of people—a lot of different organizations, like the Music Industry Org [for Bluelapalooza], performers, and for the Mini Events Booths as well,” she shared.
Nonetheless, she expressed that, although it had been a stressful experience, it was also ‘really fun’ and fulfilling.
“It felt really fulfilling that we were finally able to carry out this fair and that we were able to see the fruits of our labor come into action and were able to see the people just having fun.”
“Even though we may be working hard on the Fair Days itself, it’s really nice to see that people are able to enjoy what we set up for them,” she concluded.
Seraya: The Concert
Hosted by Samm Alvero and Robbie Jaworski, the main event of the fair commenced with an opening performance by That Band Astra, performing their original song, “Ellipsis,” among others.
Following this were performances from PLAYERTWO, Unique Salonga, Zild, The Ridleys, and Mayonnaise.
In between the artists’ performances, the hosts interviewed the fairgoers and gave away Myx merchandise to the winners of the fair-related trivia game.
Lastly, the Itchyworms performed their hit song “Akin Ka Na Lang,” to cap Seraya, and this year’s ASHS Fair “Tadhana,” off.
“The Itchyworms, as the last performers, had an undeniable prolepsis-type presence that made the whole crowd pause in anticipation, wondering if they’d play ‘Beer’—that moment was definitely the highlight of my night,” said Kyle Ignacio, an ASHS student from 11-Moscoso.
The funds raised from the second day of Seraya will be going to Ateneo Senior High School scholars and the ASHS Christian Service Involvement Program (CSIP).
“We wanted Seraya to be an event that showcases multiple amazing Filipino musicians while being the perfect way to end this year’s fair, and I think we did just that. The amazing comments and feedback we have heard [make] all the hard work that we as spev [Special Events] worth it,” shared Migo Bautista, a member of the Special Events department of the Fair Committee.
An Open House to the Community
As the ASHS Fair concluded, students, teachers, alumni, and non-Ateneans alike enjoyed the two days of fun-filled events and activities the fair had to offer.
Students from other schools, like Gabbie Bonifacio from Miriam College, shared their experiences during the second day of the fair, “ I think what I really like about the fair is the variety of food as well as the lineup of the artists.”
Sky Cobrador, from the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School (UST-SHS), also remarked about his experience in Tadhana, saying how the organized execution of the fair and the hardworking efforts of the students and staff contributed to his overall enjoyment of the day.
“If given the chance, I would definitely return. The experience was too amazing to pass up, and I’d love to relive the fun and excitement all over again,” said Alexa Flores, also a student from UST-SHS.
