Following the 2025 Midterm Elections held on May 12 nationwide, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) concluded the final tally of votes, officially announcing the winners of the local, senatorial, and party-list races on May 13, 17, and 19, respectively.
The Magic 12
Determined by the signed National Certificate of Canvass (NCOC), the 12 winning senators are as follows:
- Bong Go – 27,121,073 votes
- Bam Aquino – 20,971,899 votes
- Bato dela Rosa – 20,773,946 votes
- Erwin Tulfo – 17,118,881 votes
- Kiko Pangilinan – 15,343,229 votes
- Rodante Marcoleta – 15,250,723 votes
- Ping Lacson – 15,106,111 votes
- Vicente Sotto III – 14,832,996 votes
- Pia Cayetano – 14,573,430 votes
- Camille Villar – 13,651,274 votes
- Lito Lapid – 13,394,102 votes
- Imee Marcos – 13,339,227 votes
Party-lists race
Moreover, Akbayan topped the party-list race with over 2.779 million votes, equivalent to 6.71% of the total votes cast.
Following Akbayan with a projected 3-seat representation are Duterte Youth with 5.61%, Tingog with 4.36%, and 4PS with 3.50% of the total votes.
Meanwhile, ACT-CIS and Ako Bicol are set to get two seats each.
In line with the party-list law, party-lists that receive at least 2% of the total votes in the race are granted one seat in the House of Representatives.
Additional seats are allocated proportionally for every percentage point above the 2% threshold, with a maximum of three seats per party-list.
63 seats out of 317 in the House of Representatives shall be given to partylist representatives, initially filled by those with over 2% of votes.
Remaining seats shall be distributed to the next-in-line party-lists, ensuring one seat per eligible party-list.
Although listed among the 54 party-lists with congressional seats, Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon have not been proclaimed on May 19, following disqualification petitions.
Quezon City leaders
Following the proclamation of the City Board of Canvassers, Joy Belmonte is set to serve her third and final term as mayor of Quezon City, with 1,040,730 votes.
Additionally, her running mate, Gian Sotto, also won reelection as vice mayor with over 933,000 votes.
The election recorded the highest voter turnout in Philippine midterm history, with 81.65% of registered voters participating.
