Every Saturday from June 21 until July 12, the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) conducted its College Review Program (CRP), which aimed to help students prepare for College Entrance Tests (CETs) through onsite classes at the ASHS Main Building.

Throughout three Saturdays, 12 modules across English, Mathematics, and Science subjects were taught to the enrollees through diagnostic tests and lectures.

Each review day started at 8 AM and ended at 5:15 PM, including four two-hour sessions, with a lunch break between the second and third sessions.

Kat Erispe, an incoming Grade 12 student from the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand, shared that she enrolled in the program as a “refresher.”

“The College Review Program was really helpful for me [in recalling] all the lessons, especially [those taught] by our teachers in senior high [school],” Erispe said.

She added the program also introduced various test-taking strategies, including “shortcuts” in problem-solving and approaches for understanding science concepts better.

“It was really more on understanding the concepts and not just [memorizing] the terms that were taught,” she concluded.

On the last day of the program, the students took a mock CET, which ran from 8 AM to 12:00 NN.
