The Athlete’s Council (AthC), Council of Student Organizations (CSO), and Council of Student Committees (CSC) conducted Open House 2025, with two after-class sessions each on August 12 and 14 from 4:10 PM to 5:20 PM.
As part of this year’s Involvement Month, the event allowed students to explore the various organizations, sports clubs, and committees (OSCC) they plan to join for the school year.
During the 30-minute sessions, the core officers of each OSCC introduced themselves and discussed their roles.
They also explained the inner workings of their respective groups, giving students an overview of their weekly sessions and projects.
Benj Mendez of 11-Hoyos, who attended the open house session of Kamalayan at Tinig ng Atenista (KaTA), shared that the event was helpful in introducing the organization.
“It was effective in [a] sense na I know what they do,” Mendez said, noting that he was also a member of the Junior High School branch of KaTA.
CSO Vice President Chelsy Burgos said, “Hopefully, this initiative will help the Juniors discern what involvement they’d like to pursue and encourage the Seniors to still be part of these [organizations].”
“I think that this initiative is also a full circle moment for some Seniors, especially the [organization] officers,” she added.
Burgos also expressed gratitude to the Secretariat Department of the Executive Council for spearheading the event planning.
“Hopefully, collaborations like this continue throughout the school year, and we are able to celebrate the OSCCs while contributing to the sense of community within the ASHS,” she concluded.
Membership sign-ups for all OSCCs will start on August 22 via Google Forms.
