On Thursday, September 11, the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand gathered in Room 118 of the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) Main Building for “ABMerienda,” a potluck event aimed at fostering strand unity.
Organized by Strand Chairperson Maja Samper and Strand Secretary Chelsea Koo, the event was held after classes and provided ABM juniors and seniors an opportunity to interact with one another.
“This project is really for you,” Samper said, expressing her gratitude for the students’ participation despite their academic workload.
“I hope you…really let loose and maximize this project, since…you’re here to have fun — you’re here to take a break from [academics],” she added.
The program consisted of activities including a “Line Game,” that participants played while eating the food they brought.
This was followed by a round of “The Boat is Sinking” that further encouraged interaction among students, and a game of “Guess the Movie.”
Reflecting on his experience, Luis Sevilla of 11-Angelis shared, “All throughout the event, I met new people and…I had some small talk with [them].
He added, “I had more time to bond with them and get to know them more.”
Originally scheduled for September 9 and 11, “ABMerienda” was moved to September 11 to bring together all ABM students in a single gathering.
