The Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) community kicked off a month of collaboration and district spirit as the Council of Student Organizations (CSO) and the Assembly of Class Officers (ACO) spearheaded their joint fundraiser launch, “SALINLAHI,” at the first-floor foyer of the Main Building on Thursday, February 5.
Inspired by the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” the collaboration is anchored on a mission of fundraising for the youth and “passing on the spark” to the next generation.
Hosted by Paris Mabato from the ACO and Rocco Cortez from the CSO, the event officially opened the month-long series of activities aimed at supporting student-led initiatives.
Mabato invited the student body to “explore everything, everywhere all at once,” highlighting the various events lined up from the diverse organizations that comprise the councils.
The launch featured a showcase of the four academic strands of the ASHS, with student models parading the foyer in their respective strand merchandise.
Moreover, Dulaang Sibol performed their original song “Irog Ko,” followed by a joint performance from the ASHS Glee Club and Symphonic Ensemble of “In My Life” by The Beatles.
The fundraiser festivities are scheduled to run from February 5 to March 5 and feature organizations from the eight districts of the CSO and the strand councils.
The Faith Formation District (FFD) set up its booth at the first-floor foyer, offering interactive spiritual activities such as a Rosary Making Booth and an Anonymous Q&A Faith Dropbox.
In addition to the student organization booths, the fundraiser will also feature local food concessionaires such as K’Cheese and Brew&Co, which are set to sell in the ASHS from Monday, March 2, to Friday, March 6.
