AHS Woodpushers end UAAP S88 campaign with bronzes, eye stronger season ahead

The Ateneo High School (AHS) Chess Teams wrapped up their University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 campaign with tough matches against Adamson University (AdU) and Far Eastern University-Diliman (FEU-D), held on October 18 and 19, respectively, at the AdU Gymnasium. With the season now concluded, the team looks ahead to a stronger showing in the next UAAP run.

5 Luzon Dams release water as reservoirs near critical levels

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) ordered the release of water from five major dams across Luzon on Sunday, October 19, as Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen) brought heavy rains that caused reservoir levels to approach danger thresholds.
