The Ateneo High School (AHS) Chess Teams wrapped up their University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 campaign with tough matches against Adamson University (AdU) and Far Eastern University-Diliman (FEU-D), held on October 18 and 19, respectively, at the AdU Gymnasium. With the season now concluded, the team looks ahead to a stronger showing in the next UAAP run.

Judokas know the importance of a good grip — firm, steady, and unyielding — for it gives them the control to throw, to balance, and to rise again. But beyond what happens on the tatami, that grip grows tighter as the arena erupts in a chorus of support: judokas calling out to their teammates to throw, step back, push, or escape a lock. In that same spirit, the high school team of the Ateneo Judo Association (AJA) held on — gripping tight to their bronzes and silvers — during the Philippine Ultimate Judo Championships (PUJC) International Open, held on October 4 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Ateneo Girls’ Basketball Team pulled off a gritty 49-20 win in their first game against St. Bridget School (SBS), and a 55-49 victory over St. Patrick School a week later, before University of Santo Tomas (UST) Angelicum broke the team’s winning streak through a 75-39 takeover in the Athletic and Sports Association of Private Schools-Quezon City (ASAPS-QC) at Claret School of Quezon City on September 11, 18, and 20, respectively.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles gave the audience a spark of hope as they spread their wings in the second set to soar neck-and-neck with Far Eastern University-Diliman, but even their fiery stand wasn’t enough to stop the Tamaraws from running away with the sweep.
The Ateneo High School Girls Football/Futsal Team (AHSGFT) competed in the Rizal Football Association (RIFA) 9-aside tournament High School Open Division on December 8, 2024, and January 19, 2025—punching a ticket to the semifinals with a 3-win, 1-draw slate.
The Wellness Break may have been synonymous with rest and recovery for most of the ASHS community, but the Ateneo Junior Football Team had other plans as they started their campaign for the championships in the Sta. Lucia Cup.
