Late Streaks, Busier Streets: Ateneo and its Stuffy Traffic

STUCK: Metro Manila is undoubtedly notorious for its heavy traffic — and within the Ateneo de Manila University campus, things are certainly no different. While traffic is inextricably linked to everyone’s everyday routines, this phenomenon seemed to have worsened over the past few days as students began suffering with frequent lateness. Even when consideration cannot so easily be vested, understanding this deeply-rooted issue is still a great must — especially when some students have it harder than others.

Out on the Streets: Car-Centrism in Ateneo and Katipunan Traffic

With the conduction of full face-to-face classes for all grade levels, most of whom have similar class schedules, traffic congestion has proliferated in Ateneo and its surrounding areas. Today, a single week sees around 6,800 cars in campus premises, according to the Campus Safety and Mobility Office.
