As the commemoration of Martial Law reaches its 53rd year, we’re faced with a dwindling light that must be kept burning in remembrance of the atrocities that transpired throughout those dark years. Today, we feel the remnants of the corruption that failed to dissolve in the long past — and fighting it once again manifests in the voices of Filipinos who refuse to remain shackled in silence.
Simula ika-23 hanggang ika-27 ng Setyembre sa una at ikalawang palapag ng gusali ng ASHS at Formation Learning Center, ang buong komunidad ng Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) ay nakilahok sa “SingKWENTA y Dos,” isang proyekto na binubuo ng mga aktibidad ng Sanggunian, iba’t ibang konseho, at OSCCs bilang pag-alala sa ika-52 taon ng deklarasyon ng Batas Militar ng dating pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Sinalubong ng isang noise barrage na pinamagatang ‘Tawag Niya, Tawag Mo’ ang umaga ng ASHS noong Setyembre 23, 2024. Pinuno rin ng iba’t ibang aktibidad na naglalayong gunatain at alalahanin ang madilim na nakaraan ng bansa sa ilalim ng Batas Militar ang linggong ito. Subalit, matapos ang pakikibaka at pagtindig, ano ang susunod na gagawin mo, ASHS? Kabataan, ano na ang magiging susunod mong hakbang?
