The Ateneo Blue Eagles kicked off their University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 Boys’ Football Tournament campaign with a 1–0 victory, courtesy of a clutch goal at the expense of last year’s executioners, the PAREF Southridge Admirals, on Saturday, January 17, at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Football Stadium.

The Ateneo Juniors’ Baseball Team returned to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) field after the sport’s six-year hiatus in the league. The Blue Eagles delivered an offensive performance but were edged out in a 12–13 loss to guest team PAREF Southridge at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium on Wednesday, January 7.
