Even before the opening of second semester, the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) community had already began anticipating this school year’s fair themed ‘Elesina’.
Led by the ASHS Fair Committee, “Elesina” will be taking place for two consecutive days, from February 9 to 10.
The theme “Elesina” was derived from the combination of the Filipino words “elesi,” which means propeller in English, and “sinag,” also known as ray of light.
Students and even non-members of the Ateneo community can look forward to the wide variety of activities offered in the fair.
Some events include “Transcendent,” a students’ night that would be conducted on the fair’s first day, and “Mahika”, a concert featuring different artists on the last day.
Aside from the aforementioned, fair goers can also try the rides, booths, and bingo games prepared by ASHS student organizations and councils.
“The ASHS Fair’s preparations so far have been super hectic, but enjoyable nonetheless. All the departments under the Fair Committee have been continuously working to bring this project to fruition since last year. It is nice to see our efforts slowly come alive after the many efforts we’ve put in behind the scenes,” stated Ryu Lindayag, the Fair Committee Promotions Head.
As of writing, the pre-selling of fair tickets is ongoing on the first floor foyer of the ASHS building, which would end on Friday, February 2, 2024.
“Being the first fair since the pandemic, we’ve put in [all our effort] in creating a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone in the ASHS, as well as outsiders. Please look forward to what our fair has in store for you! Halina sa Elesina, ASHS!” Lindayag concluded.
All other updates shall be posted on the facebook page of the ASHS Fair Committee. Stay tuned!
